  • Cowling U channel size/thickness

    What material (I think 2024/6061 will both work?) and thickness .032? are the cowling U channel supposed to be? I can't find it in the plans at all, and my kit is second hand and I appear to be missing these, if they are supplied or not. I see spruce sells u channel in .125 thickness.

    They are either .025 or .032. Probably .032. Nothing thicker. Mark

      We used 0.032" 2024 with 1 3/4" web and 3/4" flange.
      Scratch Built 4-place Bearhawk. Continental IO-360, 88" C203 McCauley prop.
