I'm sure 600 feet is a huge runway for folks like Battson, but it's shorter than my usual runway, and the winds were really strong and shifty.

Nice work! My goal is to be able to operate out of 600' LZs.

Plenty of room! I wasn't sweating at all watching your takeoff!

That was awesome. I love the permanent fixture of the baby car seats in the rear seat.

Not so sure about the *permanent* part of that statement. Those babies tend to become big kids pretty quickly, and before you know it, they are bigger than you are! Seeing my 6-mo old grandson in the arms of my son brings back a lot of memories! How fast it all goes by! Enjoy every moment...

They are held in with the seatbelt, which is to say it is a big hassle to get them in- about as much hassle as getting them into a car. Knowing what I know now I would have made up some LATCH anchors, but by the time I knew about them I had already covered the back seat. In the current arrangement the seats come out of the plane in less than a minute.

Haha. I chuckled to myself about those. My plane will be equipped with the same.
