  • Distance from engine case to crankshaft flange

I'm hoping someone with either an O360 or an O540 would be willing to measure the distance from the front of the crank flange to the front of the engine case on their engine.

    Thanks.

I came up with 1.325". Face of the propeller flange to the first flat machined part of the case.
The calipers went airborne when I took the picture, so the picture is distorted, but the measurement is good.

    This is a Bob-Built Superior O-360, C/S, carbed.

Lycoming measured up virtually the same as the Superior.

I need to have a crank trigger wheel machined and I was trying to figure out if I could use any parts designed for Lycoming engines.
