    Nev;
    I am probably going to bond the window glass. I saw a bunch of similar bonded windows at SNF. Carbon Cub has some of theirs bonded, and they use one wide base pop rivet on each corner, maybe as a safety.

    I am going to start out with fasteners for the skylight. It is a BIG piece of glass.

    Rob;
    I bought the 1/2 square steel tube several months ago. But I think I will try aluminum angle or channel first. It will all be bolt together, so I can change my mind later.

    I don't know how much "lift" is created by the skylight.

      Dennis Reynolds attached his sky light of his Patrol with an adhesive tape. I think 3M VHB tape. It looks real nice. I'd try to probe him about this install at OSH.

      These photos were taken from a Carbon Cub window last year at OSH. The CC window frame is fabricated from square tubing. An adhesive strip of felt or the fuzzy side of velcro is installed as a seal/rub strip where the Plexi contacts the airframe. They don't apply this method for attachment on the X Cub. Its a traditional door frame fabricated from a composite of some sort. I wonder if its suitable for an experimental, but not for $325,000 product.

        Negative Nancy warning... Cub Crafters continues to disappoint me from a price vs quality standpoint. I understand the price of making an aircraft, but some of the issues which come out of the factory at this price point are just shocking... I have seen one first hand where the wing needed to be re-covered because the false spar was "forced in" by the factory to make it fit into place. Eventually it cracked and tore the fabric. The wing needed to be removed and taken to pieces to repair it. The seat adjustment mechanism also beggars belief, it's the most difficult to use of any I have seen, after years of wear and tear it becomes a two person job! I know the factory is aware of these issues, I hope the newer X Cub addresses these problems. Rant over, sorry if you didn't need that negativity right now!
