New Companion Sub-Forums

I've just added two new sub-forums for the Bearhawk Companion, one for plans building and one for Quick-build kit customers. Being that we don't do this very often, please let me know if anything isn't working. There may be some settings that I need to adjust etc. Also please let me know if you see any posts that we should move to the new categories. I've moved the first few that I know of, but might have missed some.

Considering that construction methods are similar and crossover for each of the various designs, might it also be helpful to have sub-forums for general non model specific plans-built and/or QB question/topics? For example; often a plans-built related question for a Model B can be readily answered by someone building a Patrol or an LSA... Just thinking out-load; your thoughts?

I agree... I wonder if the general discussion area is good for that? One reason for separating QB from non-QB is to better facilitate and prioritize Mark's support of QB customers. But in general I think less channels are better in the long run.

I have often noticed this overlap. Most of this stuff ends up in the Building Techniques section or the General section, which is acceptable in my view.

Sometimes things cannot be perfectly categorised, and that is OK, if annoying to one's inner perfectionist.

Honestly I only pay attention to the categories when I post new topics; when I reply I rarely know which sub I'm in (case in point right now!) My default screen just shows latest activity regardless of category.
