The first quarter Beartracks issue has just gone out, and it includes a detailed update from Bob Barrows about his prototype ultralight design, which is also an informative glimpse into his design philosophy and mindset. There is a great article from Bob Triplett about how he created fiberglass versions of a NACA scoop for his cabin heat inlet. While the topic is cabin heat, the same technique can be used to make high-temperature versions of any kind of parts. Rob Caldwell provides an update on his quick build Bearhawk 4-Place, and we get a little more clarity from Bob on the recent Patrol plans change related to a skin stiffener at the forward ribs.
