Here is some cool stuff from FlySto.net
It is generated from your flight data, the realism is out of this world

Click the video button, in the top bar, right most button:

then follow the steps, then basically scrub the video to a known time and tell Flysto what time that moment it, it will sync the time found in the data log to that spot in the video and go to work. In the future, you could do like a clap board or hold your phone in front of the camera with an accurate clock on it so you can scrub to the exact spot and match them up, assuming your camera is not GPS enabled (therefore embedding the GPS time in the encoded video, not sure if cameras do this part, mines not AND the time was slightly off, so it was hard to find a known time spot in the video). Think of it as the same way you would sync up audio if you recorded on a separate audio device.

you end up with this when you download the video again (I had a lot of fun with it, and gen’ed some AI music and shared with friends:

If I can get some free time at some point, I might be able to make a powershell script that could read the log files and use ffmpeg to overlay some data on any video, without having to do the up/download of Flysto. Of course to get the nice ADAHRS overlay is probably beyond a simple script, but overlaying speeds, altitude, etc as textboxes on a video I think would be straightforward.

Did some testing differing from my normal Flaps 2 today. I did the first takeoff Flaps 2 and the last two Flaps 3. Not a surprise I have a good feel for Flaps 2, but Flaps 3 was a different feel. Tail came up earlier and unexpectedly, liftoff was about 125’ shorter and I was 8 mph slower than my historical average from FlySto data.
I will play with this some more as I will have uses for it in the backcountryN678C

Flew today testing flap configurations.
This video is only being posted here for the BH community, but of course it is public on YouTube. I really don’t know any other way to post it here.
Liftoff was 125’ shorter than Flaps 3 over Flaps 2, this was with 1/2 fuel and about 40#’s of crap in the cargo area. The plane was ready to fly before I let it, so the takeoff run was longer than it will be once I get the feel figured out. The liftoff IAS was also 8 mph slower today (did two of these) than my typical liftoff speed average from FlySto.net
BTW, the three landings today were 36, 38 and 36 mph IAS…. the BH ROCKS

You perked my curiosity in several areas, Jay.
I found myself slightly envious of Your presentations and data collection on Flysto.net Two weeks ago I did not even know that my Garmin G5 collected data. I decided to stretch myself and see if this technolory is beyond my abilities.....so I downloaded my G5 data to Flysto.net I was surprised how quick and easy this is to do.
Tonight I saw your landing speed and thought to myself "There is no way I'm landing that slow. I wonder if its Jay'd technique of VG's?" But then I checked my data and i'm in the same ball park of 33 kts or 38 mph. Cool!
I watched the video. I'm curious what your takeoff RPM is. I'm going to guess at your RPM for takeoff....2500. I've been taking off at 2500 rpm's instead of 2700 rpm's because I've got 3500' of runway and Mrs Crabitz lives off the end of runway 24.
Last curiocity....regarding take-off with Flaps 3. I haven't tried that. How did your liftoff speed change with the change from FL2 to FL3?Brooks Cone
