  • Nose Bowl Modification

    Had to considerably modify the lower half of my nose bowl to make an inlet for the AFP FM250 fuel servo. I cut this big hole out of the nose bowl, also cut out the bump for the starter that my setup didn't require. Put off the modification for some time because I wasn't sure how to accomplish it. Finally glued in some foam blocks and started shaping by hand. Obviously more work needed before I'm ready to layup some cloth. I toyed with the idea of also mounting a taxi light in the cowl while I am at it. Not sure I will need it as the wingtip landing lights may provide enough light to taxi with, so that might end up being a later mod.

    When the prop goes full coarse, how much clearance will there be between the front of your air intake and the trailing edge of the propeller?

    Looks to be a self-solving problem

    Seriously though, I will follow your progress with this as I’m very interested in doing the same mod.

      Rod;

      Did you use horizontal induction or use vertical induction with an elbow?
