What is the source for the -B stinger for tail wheel?

I have welded up my basic fuselage with the exception of the attach points for the tail wheel. Can someone tell me how to do the tube for the stinger or will I need to wait for the plans to be available? I was at Oshkosh this year but for some reason the Bravo info went over my head and I didn't see it until the newsletter.

Shawn, Bob has designed a bracket that bolts onto the original pads, but it sounds like you'd be better off with integrating the receptacle directly. You might try calling Bob to see if he can walk you through the tubing size to use. Mark Goldberg might also be able to tell you, and I think he's the best point of contact for the spring itself. If you have not yet sourced your tailwheel assembly, Eric can provide one that has the right kind of body to go with the rod spring. Let me know if you need phone numbers for either of those guys.

Just a small report here on the round tail spring on the four place BH. On my BH, N303AP, a round tail spring was fit with an adapter Bob designed. It flew for the first time on Sunday and I taxied it around last Friday quite a bit. All seems good. As for Mr. Bearhawk535 - at the stage of construction you are at it would be good to weld in the proper tube at the correct angle. Bob can help you with the best tube/receptacle to use and how to weld it in. I have already had made a batch of the round tail springs for the 4 place. They are made of one inch bar stock of 6150 steel heat treated to 49-50 RC hardness. The Patrol/LSA tail spring is 7/8" and is not heat treated quite as high. We have not placed them on the web store but will some time soon. If someone wants one - let me know. They will be priced like the Patrol tail spring. Mark

        Hi Mark,

I am glad to hear it's all working well.
It would be great to see some photos of the new assembly close up, if you had some spare time at any stage. No hurry.

        Thanks!
