Are you running 1/2 fuel line the entire way? If not, and if your fuel line from the firewall travels up hill, then you might want to use 3/8 as the 1/2 line will hold more fuel on the uphill side and cause the fuel to flow slower. Think siphon, but in the opposite direction, and not enough to reverse fuel flow, only slow it....

I measured my cooler lines a few times and filled out the online form for ACS. I was surprised how expensive they were. I backed off buying them as I wasn't sure how big the AN8 fittings were and I might not have the measurements right. I decided to use reusable fittings and hose. It was a good choice as they would have all been wrong. They were cheaper than pre-made hoses, and A LOT cheaper than 2 sets of pre-made hose.

I think your local hydraulic shop can make hoses a lot more economically.

You can make your own a whole lot cheaper than you can have them made by someone else. It is not hard. All the parts you need are available at ACS.
