  • Alternative to Aircraft Spruce

Looking for alternatives to purchasing from Aircraft Spruce. I have had multiple mistakes in shipping, orders split into multiple shipments that then are not delivered timely, credits not issue correctly, just bad experiences in the past few months.

Looking for alternative vendors to purchase items like wire, turn buckles, bolts, nuts, machine screws, circuit breakers, etc. Any help is appreciated!

    An alternative for hardware -

B&B Aircraft Supplies exists to equip you with all your aircraft needs.

For wire and electrical supplies, https://www.steinair.com/ and https://bandc.com/. For hardware like those you listed, B&B is awesome in person at the shows and also a little less convenient but fine for ordering remotely. Also consider https://www.airpartsinc.com/ and https://www.gen-aircraft-hardware.com/ and https://www.wicksaircraft.com/

+1 for Wicks Aircraft. I used them on several occasions during my build.

In addition to the excellent advice above, I recommend Pegasus Racing for hoses and fittings

Air power has been really good for firewall forward hardware needs. Free shipping and better prices than spruce if they have it in stock

Genuine Aircraft Hardware is a small family owned business without a meaningful website but has a nice catalog. You call them on the phone and talk to knowledgeable humans to order. Prices are generally very favorable. They are great for most all of our hardware needs. I just bought my cowl hinges from them at a much lower cost than anyone else. Make sure you ask for a catalog. It’s a great resource.

I buy mostly from Spruce, though. I have had very few issues over the years and many, many orders. When I screw up an order and call, they fix it with no hassles. Sorry to hear you are having trouble. Do you have an account set up with Spruce and do online ordering?

Thank you for the leads. Will place some orders late this week with some of the new vendors on my list!
