Today my Bearhawk went to east TX to retrieve some bee boxes to put on top of the hives I have at my ranch. The bees will need some room to work and store honey (hopefully) as Spring hits here in central TX. I already have some fruit trees blooming. So maybe Spring is here. Thought yall would enjoy the pics. Mark

It's amazing how much will fit in a Bearhawk. Good luck with your bees Mark.

Reminds me, in a sideways sort of way, of the Wright brothers. The first serious account of their work was published not in Scientific American or other typical science papers of the day, but in "Gleanings in Bee Culture," a journal published by Amos I. Root, who sold bee keeping equipment in the early 1900's.

Does this mean you are asking your bees to increase production? I personally think that is a great idea.

The bees more or less just hang out in the winter in limited surroundings. If they don't have room to expand and store honey when Spring hits and the flowers start blooming - they swarm and abandon the hive. I am just trying to provide them comfortable living and work conditions. Hopefully the weather conditions will cooperate and allow the bees to make a lot of honey this year. MG
