  • Bearhawk ready for first flight

    My plane is finally all together. I thought I would give the group a look. I'm waiting for some warm weather though! I will be doing some flying with Dave Lenhart in New Hampshire before I take mine up.

        Whoa - that looks like some work has gone into it! That paint has taken some thought.

        Can you give us the specs please?? Engine, prop, avionics, mods? Obviously some quite extensive mods to get all the observer door.

        Cool - very nice looking machine.

            I've got an empty page in the Beartracks that would fit a story about your airplane nicely...

              Now that I am waiting for good weather I will try to pull something together for a Beartracks in the next couple weeks. For now;

              IO-540, Lightspeed electronic ignition one side, Aerocomposites prop, Grand rapids EFIS and engine monitoring system, Empty weight is 1520 lbs, right on average for 540 engined Bearhawks.

                Wow. Looks awesome. I love the paint scheme, bit of modern and classic at the same time.

                  I've seen Mark's plane and he's done some excellent work on it, true craftsmanship and well thought out. We'll fly soon Mark.

                    Outstanding Mark. That is one of the best paint schemes I have seen on a Bearhawk. Love it! Can't wait to see it. Oshkosh maybe???

                      Mark it looks great! I saw the engine start video on youtube, very nice. I didn't know you were on the East coast, it's good to know of another Bearhawk in the area. ~Todd

                        My engine start is on youtube? I searched and can not find it. Can you post the URL or how you found it.

                            The video was about a month or so ago. I was headed over to the airports heated hangar for some final assembly work. I think that was the plane's fourth start. You can see how much snow we had! Thanks for the link Todd. I did not know it was posted.
