  • Bob's first flight since the accident

I was talking with Bob a little while ago, and he told me that he got in his first flight since the accident. He has been taxying around some the last few weeks. But today was a good day so he took up his Patrol for about 20 minutes. I asked him if he had forgotten how to fly. He responded that it all felt good. He said his landing could not have been better.

Big milestone in Bob's recovery. Mark

"Back in the Saddle"! So good to hear! Flying is oxygen for Bob, and most of us. Thanks for the update, Mark!

Great to hear! I hope they get around to taking down that wire though, apparently no agencies feel concerned about it.

                Great to hear...

I was curious what harness/seatbelt arrangement did Bob have in his old plane......

I was able to attend the fly-in at Bob’s yesterday and was pleased to see him looking well and moving around with only a slight limp. He has additional surgery scheduled soon to remove a screw that has been bothering his ankle. He seems to have come a long way, but not back to 100% just yet. He does seem optimistic that all will be well in time.

good to hear! I do not envy him the experience of personally testing the airframe integrity but am happy to hear he is out having fun!
