    Posting this for a friend. Is there a generic letter from Bob approving the 2700 lb TO weight/ 2500 lb landing Weight for the A model? If not, I guess a letter to Bob is in order. Thanks

      It’s not on my plans but mine are old original plans.

      I don’t think I’ve ever seen a statement in writing from Bob. I think in a news letter he said the BH was approved for 2700lbs on floats. Someone asked him about upping it for wheels and he said the gear is only for 2500lbs on landing but that he’d be ok with 2700lbs for takeoff.

          My 4 place Bravo plans only say 2500 at 4.5 Gs and 2300 at 5 Gs.

            Yep, my plans too. 2500/2300. I do remember now about the T/O being 2700lbs but landing 2500lbs, 2700 on floats.

              In the past, Bob has said of the A model, that (as designed):

              - the aircraft structure is strong enough to handle 2,700 lbs up to the designed g-force load

              - the landing gear oleo springs will probably bottom out at the designed landing forces above 2,500 lbs

              It's up to the builder to set the limits for their own aircraft, depending on what they have done with their build.
