Prop governor question..

This is related to forward mounted governor on Lyc YIO-360. Wanted to hear thoughts on setting up cable for my MT prop governor as is depicted in the Showplanes webstore. What I don't know is during setup for cable is how much the control lever arm actually needs to rotate/travel. Is it stop-to-stop (high-to-low) rpm stops? Looks like I can do it with some minor adjustment to the control lever arm position and the fuel injector line. My initial fit test is shown in the pic with the bracket not mounted to the governor, control lever arm holding against the high rpm stop screw and and with adjustment to the fuel injector line. Open to all thoughts and ideas. Hope the question is clear. Anyone else do something similar, if so, can you post a pic?

I would have bought that bracket but it was not available when I wanted it. I made my own. I will take a pic in an hour or two. My cable actuates from the 12 oclock position instead of 6. Cable goes straight across the top of the engine.

@sylvo That's the way I was hoping to rig things. Based on conversations with multiple techs associated with MT and McFarlane, the MT governor control arm is setup to only rotate CCW (as viewed facing the governor when mounted). I was envisioning the control lever arm positioned around 10 o'clock and moving CW to about 2 o'clock, I would need the control arm to actuate CW from the low pitch to the high pitch as I pull the cable from the cabin. Evidently the PCU5000X can be setup precisely as I would like...unlike the MT governor.

I was wondering about rotation. That makes sense. One negative about having the cable on top is servicing. If you have to remove the aft baffling, you have to remove the cable first.

I have that governor and the Van's bracket which is similar. On my setup the orientation is the same as yours. I left the low pitch stop at the factory setting, and had to adjust the high pitch stop back about 7/16th inch to get 2700rpm. So angular rotation is a little less than 90 deg (roughly 4 o'clock to 7 o'clock and 1.8" on the prop control

rodsmith Thanks for the info Rod, especially about travel amount on prop control cable and control lever arm. Any chance (if/when most convenient) you could grab a picture of your setup/bracket and cable attach on the control arm when in low and high pitch position? You're flying now so obviously it works, I'm just having a hard time as seeing how it allows for full travel from stop to stop configured as depicted.
