  • Another flying Patrol you have not seen

Chris Spyra has been flying his Patrol for over 1.5 years and 200 hours. Chris was a fighter pilot in the air force of Belgium. Flew F16's and F4's. He is now retired from airline flying. He put a O375 and Whirlwind prop on his Patrol.

The picture is from when he visited me at my ranch on Friday. Mark

Nice. I was going to ask if he flew it across but then I saw the N number.

Now there's a can't go wrong paint scheme. Beautiful. I wouldn't change a thing. Congratulations Chris

Glad to see it surface. There’s a video on YouTube of his first flight.

Love it. Is that Oratex? I'm thinking of doing mine in yellow Oratex, but with some contrasting trim. Still a ways off, however.

Did you fly it Mark? The reason I ask is Im wondering what you think of various engine/prop combinations, from your vantage point of having an opportunity to evaluate many of them. What combination do you favour on the Patrol, and why? Your opinion: what’s your balance between reliability, price, performance, weight, ease of operation and maintenance for this plane?
