Congrats! That's a beauty! I'm also going with the dual Light Speed Ignition. What dual battery system did you go with? Are you using a back up alternator?

Welcome to the Club, and congratulations on your successful first flight. I like the solid yellow scheme. Now the fun really begins.

Congratulations! Liking your panel too, been planning to do mine basically the same so it's nice to see a well-made example.

Rob, I used 2 Shorai 5# lithium iron batteries. Similar to Earth X. Single alternator. Two electrical busses, redundant panel. Based mostly on Aero Electric schematics.

Jared, are there some safety issues with the Shorai? Should I replace them with the Earthx?

Thanks. I recently had a long discussion with Klaus on the proper battery choice for his dual Lightspeed EI. After thinking long and hard about it, and careful consideration, I'm going the dual lead acid battery route. I will use two ammeter sensors to monitor both batteries directly and independently. If I were flying with mags, or even 1 mag, I would probably go with lithiums.

I wouldn't want to make that judgement for you, but it is worth reading up about. The two brands are designed with two different schools of thought.
