Hi folks. New guy just joined up. I have recently (last 12 months or so) been focused on finding a Cessna 180 for backcountry travels, and have now had my eyes opened wide by the Bearhawk 4 place. How I have not focused on this aircraft in the past I do not know (tunnel vision!). At least on paper, the 540 powered BH looks like it checks all my boxes, and its experimental! So, here is my question. Any of you Bearhawk drivers out there would be interested in showing me your plane with a short flight, too? I would be delighted to buy the gas and lunch, too. I live near Atlanta, but would be able to travel to just about anywhere in the lower 48 to do this.
A few words about me, currently fly an Air Cam on amphibs, which I built (my second one), so doing a quick build or finishing a kit is not an issue...I know how to "eat the elephant"!, long time tailwheel guy, and am about to retire early from my major airline job. I am fairly tall (6'4") but not very heavy (200 lbs) so fitting comfotably in the BH is important.
So, thanks in advance for any and all responses. Am looking forward to see if I am ready to jump into the deep end of the Bearhawk pool!
