I am looking for a good filler, smoother for composite pieces, there seems to be quite a few options and I am not familiar with them. Primer and finish coat will be Stewarts.

I agree with Jared on the Super-Fil. Good working time. Some of the auto body fillers and glazing compounds set up very quickly.Rob Caldwell

Since you already made a composite part, the Easiest, best, and cheapest is just using epoxy and fillers. Like Brooks said micro balloons is as good as anything. Wood flour might be cheaper. Nothing is as light as micro balloons. It sands great and weighs nothing except the epoxy.
