Trim Actuator Bar/Arm

I did a search and came up empty, but I seem to remember some people bending the arm/bar that attaches to the trim and the lever that sticks out of the bottom of the horizontal stabilizer. With full up elevator that bar contacts my horizontal.

Is it ok to bend this to eliminate contact?

My 4-place plans say "BEND AS NEEDED". (see attached) So, I wouldn't hesitate, but sneak up on it. I took pics of my rod as an example. Mine are bent about 26 degrees, + -. Hope this helps.

BTW I’ve never heard of anyone bending the belcrank.

Bend as needed is the correct way to look at it. What is important is to NOT make a sharp bend with a small radius. That weakens the pushrod. Make a gradual bend. The picture of Paul's looks good as far as the radius of the bend goes. Mark

Does anyone have the AircraftSpruce part number for the rod end bearings pictured above ?
The 4-place has one at the rear, but not at the the front. After discussing with Mark I'm planning to add one, which should eliminate the wear and tighten that area up.
