I'm not sure if others have found this, or if it's just me, but the links for 'Forum' and 'Builder Map' (at the top, the little page tab links. Up there is 'Forum, 'Builder Map', 'New Topics', and 'Today's Posts') link to bearhawkforums.com/, not https://bearhawkforums.com. Because of this, it takes me to an HTTP page, not HTTPS and logs me out of the forum. I then have to go back to https://bearhawkforums.com/ to log back in, or at least add the 's' to the end of the 'http' in the URL to be back in as a logged in user on those pages. I'm not sure if they're hard-linked or not, but if anyone else has that issue it may be helpful to just add the 's' to the http part of the link. Hopefully that makes sense?

John,
I can confirm that the "Forums" and "Builder Map" headers at the top of the page do appear link to the non-secure version of the page. However, they do NOT log me out of the site – it's just that the non-secure page does not know you're logged on, like a secured page would.
Having said that, it looks like the other two links ("New Topics" and "Today's Posts") are indeed linked to the HTTPS pages. And when I click on one of those links, it takes me to the "secure" page, and it shows I'm still logged in. (I DO however, have the "keep me logged in" checkbox selected on the login page, so once I login, I'm good for the session.)Jim Parker

Thank you so much for pointing this out John! I think I have fixed it. Please refresh, and if the problem persists, send me the URL and I'll investigate further. In the early days we didn't use https but Zane talked me into it. That has been a couple of years ago, so that means those links have been erroneous for a long time.

Bugs? Whenever I visit the page I am not shown as logged in, and prompted to log in. But when I try I am unable to. Then if I refresh the page, or navigate to another forum page I am miraculously logged in.

I know the "tech support" guys always say "clear your cache and history", and it never seems to work, but... This sounds like a case where it might actually work. You'll have to login again afterward, but if your browser was caching one of those non-secured pages, clearing the cache might actually work!

No morning Bearhawk social media fix this morning. The Bearhawk group doesn’t show up on Taptalk...search for Bearhawk returns no results?

I think Jared posted several days ago that he was considering dropping support for Tapatalk, and asking for feedback. The consensus was the Tapatalk wasn't used by enough people to justify the ever-increasing cost to Jared to support it. (They charge him a fee to suppress the ads that are very intrusive.) There was pretty minimal feedback from Tapatalk users, so I suspect he went ahead and dropped the support.
But don't worry, the forum works pretty darn well using just a mobile browser... Just have to scroll down bit more than you're probably used to in order to see the content...

As Jim said, they recently doubled the price that they charge to turn off their annoying pop-ups, bars, etc. We've been reluctantly paying them monthly for a long time now, but with fewer members using the service, it seemed like a good time to go. I know it's frustrating when the routine changes, and the desire to keep things from changing has been what's kept us paying them this long. There are several good ways to get the info directly, and hopefully we'll be able to keep you around.

For the past few days I've been getting an "internal server error" when posting. The posts are going through but I have to acknowledge the error, refresh the browser, acknowledge changed data will be lost, but the data isn't actually being lost. Happens on my phone, Safari, and on my desktop, Chrome.Scratch Built 4-place Bearhawk. Continental IO-360, 88" C203 McCauley prop.

There is a link at Bearhawkstore.com for plans and engineering questions.
I hesitate to click on that link again just to confirm I wasn't hallucinating.
If I saw what I think I saw, then that link should probably be fixed.
