So, job one for my Companion project will be fabricating my rotisserie. I will be fabricating both ends of the rotisserie from surplus 2" x 2" 16ga steel tube I have in my workshop so I can make it the way I want. Not having the kit in house yet, I wonder what height both ends of the rotisserie need to be. Recommendations?

Mine are 45", the pivot point on the front of mine is even with the two upper outboard engine mounting holes, the rear is 6" above the bottom of the lower longeron. It is a little bottom heavy, maybe takes 15lbs push to get it horizontal. Maybe an inch lower on one end or the other would be perfect balance.
I just used 2x2 wood with U-bolts for the connector on the bottom.

I built mine out of Sq tube I had laying around the shop. For my LSA I'm centered @ 42" above the floor but also made the bases with several adjustments @ 2" intervals so could go up or down as needed. My ends are not connected and work fine. You do not have permission to view this gallery.

If you make it tall enough it'll work for the wings too.Attached Files
