What is the small “hole” for at the bottom center of the aft bulkhead ?

I tapped the hole for a standard AN bolt, so I can use it blind if required.

Brilliant idea. I’ll do the same. Thanks.

I tapped it for a coarse threaded eye bolt from the hardware store.

I did that and used #8 or 10-32 nut plates on the kit tabs in the cargo area so I can add rings for ties downs above the floor boards.

On a similar part (I’m assuming the OP has been answered and I won’t detract from anything by asking a question here) - did you guys tap the lap seatbelt holes or pop a bolt through them? I created a little “bulb” to allow room for a bolt head in my aluminum skin under the door but after reading above think I might have been better off tapping it...

I like the idea of tapping it, but not up to that part yet.

I used a bolt to secure my Patrol rear seatbelt fittings.

Ken - you could tap those in my view.

By the by, any nut on the outside of the fuselage tube - generally they are too tall and when the fabric drums it touches the nut. I have this in a couple of places. This causes cracking and eventually a small hole in the fabric (takes about 600hrs flight).

Thanks All. I may go back and tap those. Might be advantageous for mx as well.

I’m thinking the front outside seatbelt bolts would fit this category. Could they be tapped ?

That’s the location I was asking about as well. Looks like an affirmative.

A tube clamp may work well depending on the location. On my cubs I’ve used them for both shoulder mounts and the 5/6 point mounts (tubes in floor in front of seat).
Univair sells them in a couple different sizes.

I feel like I have a fair knowledge of AN hardware. "Tube Clamp" I first thought you meant an Adel style loop clamp. But for some reason I researched and just found the AN741 tube Clamp. Thought I should include a graphic to encourage the imagination. They come in 1/8 inch increments starting at 1/2 inch.
