First flight in the Scratchbuilt Bearhawk today started on June 2006 16 years ago finally done. First flight 1.5 hours couple minor adjustments required, but WOW such a thrill. Has a I0-540-C4B5 with 110 degree angle at injector, E-mag ignition, Hartzell HC-C2YK-1BF Prop, Stewart Sytem fabric and paint. Thanks to everyone for all the help and assistance throuout the build.

The way to do the .mov is to upload the movie to a hosting site like youtube or vimeo, then post the link here. The plane looks great and I can't wait to hear more about it!

Congratulations on a beautiful looking aircraft! I’m at the opposite end of the scratch building journey, just starting the forming blocks for my 5. Seeing other scratch builds take the air helps keep 5e momentum strong. Safe flights!

That's great! I lived in Alaska when I started building, plan was to put it on straight floats, skiis in winter. Abandoned the float idea when I moved to Colorado. There is one reservoir near the Kansas border where floats are legal in CO!

Very nice, good to see you got the first flights in before winter sets in again. How are this door seals working in the cold?

I havent finished installing them yet, my doors are fitted pretty good my partner has them installed on his and they are working good. They are nice, flexible to conform to the structure.
