I like the idea of keeping "Patrol" out of the name. It is already confusing enough to have three named so similarly. Also, something unique enough to yield good search results.

Bob told me he liked the idea of the Patrol staying part of the name. He feels the Patrol has a good reputation and it would be beneficial to retain the Patrol in the name. I have not many thoughts or opinions about this naming the plane business. But am happy to hear what others like. Mark

      How about Bearhawk Companion?

        I like
        - Bravo2
        - Scout
        - Wrengell
        - Outfitter
        - Sportsman

And agree that things are confusing enough, Patrol should not be included

I just read Bob all the names that you all have suggested. Of all of them - he likes the Bearhawk Companion the best since the name does have something to do with the airplane being a side by side design. If anyone else has any ideas around that theme - please come forward. Mark

I am not surprised that Bob likes that suggestion

                  A good suggestion. Very wholesome.

Yeah, I think the "companion" idea is key to selling a plane like this Mark

At the start, well I knew I wanted a bearhawk, and I originally wanted a Patrol, but I knew my wife wouldn't be comfortable flying in it if I wasn't there alongside her.
I think that many builders consider their partners when choosing what model to buy. (Then most just end up flying it on their own.)

I think maybe it should be called the Bearhawk Escape - you want to escape somewhere with your wife for the weekend, not go on Patrol with her! :-)

Some might argue the name "escape" would be better suited for a single seater....

I guess if you are looking for another option like "Companion"....

"Escort" is a synonym for Companion, and Escort and Patrol both have a similar aviation context. Sadly, Escort has another meaning which is less than wholesome!

Depending on what part of the planet you live in, or what era you grew up, "SS" might not go over very well in certain parts....

Maybe a single seat Bearhawk is a good idea. I envision a long range high altitude IFR cruiser with a big ass engine, big comfortable seat, all slicked out for night flying. Just the thing for the aloof power broker who prefers his (or her's) solitude. On a whim you could slip it into a back woods mountain strip for some solitary fly fishing on your way to closing that multi million deal. All without having to cater to the wants and needs of a passenger. "Sorry Bill, I'd love to take you but I've only got one seat". See you later sucker.

With the 200 lb increase in GW and maybe a nice cargo door, the Patrol Sherpa.

Haha.. that "mission" is a 540 4 place..... with a turbo if you want to actually impress the guys at Sherpa altitude.

How about the Patrol Amigo? Amigo is Spanish for friend and it gives a nod to the craftsmen who make such a fine airplane.
