  • Bearhawk 4-Place N22GM IO360 EFII Dynon

First flight N22GM was a few weeks ago. Has a Bob IO360 with EFII fuel injection and electronic ignition. Dynon panel. Fight went pretty well, had some cooling issues that were solved by a bigger cowl exit and a spoiler. Needed a tiny bit of rudder trim. Fabric is Oratex, with vinyl trim.

Well, there's a couch, recliner and TV in my hangar, so does that count? ☺️

Very nice Greg! I'm thinking about EFII too. Did you use a header tank?

Spectacular ! Great job. Question: did you do your own seats? Do you have a pattern for the foam? I really like what you have there....

          Cheers

The seat foam came from Oregon aero or the other major RV interior vendor, I cant remember which. Specifically, they are foam for the Rans S7S, which fit the Bearhawk frames pretty good. Then, a local auto upholstered took it from there.

Wow, very nice. I like the look of the polished aluminum skin with your paint color scheme.
I'm curious to see what would be the speed gain with the wheel pants...

That is just beautiful. I love polished planes but that must have been quite a job polishing the bottom side.

Very sharp, inside and out. Did you do the vinyl trim yourself? Any issues with it?

Also, on the dash is switch marked "Emergency Power" - is that a secondary battery, auxiliary alternator, or?

No, a local vehicle graphics shop did the vinyl. Took 2 days.

The emergency power switch allows you to bypass the bus manager and delivers power directly to the EFII components to keep the motor running. I have two batteries, either or both can supply power to the busses.
