Ladies and Gentlemen, the XHawk has landed—after taking off like a homesick angel.
Shortly before first flight, an A&P and a fellow pilot asked if I'd ever flown a Bearhawk before. When I said no, they were surprised. It's probably thanks to all your testimonials and flight reports that I ordered the kit without ever getting a ride in one. Well, I'm glad you didn't BS me. The Bearhawk is a wonderful flying machine. I could tell within minutes, which I confirmed again when I flared a bit too high and the landing gear simply soaked it up like nothing.
I'll write up more about the first flights later. Here are some pictures for now.
